There are so many reasons to elope, it isn’t even funny! I’m going to narrow it down to my top ten reasons and why Savannah, specifically fits all the reasons.

1. The biggest reason is that it’s stress free! Especially if you don’t have any guests.
2. Which brings me to the second point – you don’t have to have any guests! Guest list conflicts for traditional weddings are a huge source of stress for any couple. You get more and more people added on and some that you don’t even know or like, even! The whole family gets involved and everyone’s opinions matters more than YOURS do and suddenly the wedding is not about the couple any more. It’s about pleasing the guests.
3. You can do anything you want! If you want to wear a purple flowered dress or get married in a park under a tree, if you want to run off in secret and not tell anyone, if you don’t want to exchange rings, if you don’t want flowers or to wear your mom’s dress from the ’70s…. there are no rules! If you show up dressed up in Star Wars cosplay outfits, we’re here for that.
4. If you elope to Savannah, GA, you have a built in honeymoon waiting for you all around. You’re in a gorgeous city with so many things to do and see it’s hard to know where to start.
5. You and your fiance are free to be YOU. With no outside pressure to conform to anything, you can be completely yourself.
6. If you’re an introvert, neurodivergent, shy, or just simply don’t like to be the center of attention in front of a huge (or even small) crowd, eloping is perfect for you. There is no one to perform for. Just the two of you and your officiant and photographer. And with as many as we’ve done, nothing you say or do or wear can shock us at this point – plus, no judgement!
7. If you elope with us, you have a wide choice of locations to fit your personality…. anything from one of the beautiful squares or Forsyth Park downtown, to Bonaventure Cemetery, or out on the beach on Tybee Island.
8. Speaking of locations, they are so gorgeous on their own that no other decorations are needed! You don’t need to think about arches, altars, chairs, or anything!
9. You can customize your ceremony a bit by adding a ritual or your own readings. We love it when people jump the broom, do sand ceremonies, do a hand fasting, or wear pins or charms with loved ones photos on their jackets or put them on bouquets. If you are more religious than we are (which is religious at all haha!) you can read things to one another during your ceremony that hold special meaning for you.
10. You just have to show up… we’ve taken care of the rest (except getting the marriage license!) that’s literally all you have to do. We’ll be there waiting for you in the location you’ve chosen for your wedding!
